One Poker-Hen 103

Kaiji and Kazuya lay all the cards on the table. Let's see who's got a better hand.

Thanks to Sonickrazy for the translations and to Crump Biggums for the cleans.

One Poker-Hen 103
"You might lose this you know! All 2 billion yen!"

Well, here it is. Our long awaited minimum wager. I am quite surprised by how much it was. Betting literally suitcases of money each time. All represented by tiny model humans. It's true if Kaiji were to be betting 10's of millions of yen and lose, he would feel like he would want to puke. But when you start betting lives. It goes to a whole new level. Each time you lose it'd feel like someone tossed you into a pool of electrified water. Powerful jolts course through your body and electrify your mind into a state of near death. You'd feel like you were dying while still being very much alive. Unlike in the Bog where your soul is slowly drained in front of you, this is much quicker. A single turn of a card. Like Restricted RPS or E-Card.

That minimum amount though... While it does bring you much closer to Kazuya in terms of winning, you're that much closer to death. His battle begins when he receives those two first cards. If those two cards aren't favorable to him... Well, we will just have to see how things progress. It looks like Chang and Mario have a few words for our intrepid Hero first.

  1. Good stuff. I'm still bothered about the folding structure but I guess we'll see.

  2. Betting lifes, that's awesome! I wonder if Kaiji will be allowed to bet his own actual life if he runs out of figurines XD

  3. Ahhhhh, I missed this. This I missed. Kaiji in some insane gamble for an amount of money that he literally could not spend in 12 life times and Akagi in the final final final South 4th Round of Mahjong

  5. Damn it, Kaiji is getting high on gambling again. Who's gonna stop him this time? Thanks for the chapter, as always.

  6. You know what bugs me. Like bugs me. Even if Kaiji has a 100% total victory here and walks away with the full 2,400,000,000 yen. That is Not his "ruin" I mean he probably worked for it. But like Trump's dad gave him a million dollar loan and he turned it into a 2 billion dollar fortune. But even if Trump lost two billion dollars he still has a shit ton of assets like land and fuck and he still has his dad whose worth a few Trillion dollars with a capital T.
