HERO Chapter 13

Chapter 13 of HERO is now up! In this chapter, can Hiroyuki find a way out of this predicament where 7 of his 11 tiles will deal in to someone...?!

"To find Ten-San... and to save Sawada-san... he's taking it all on, himself!"

In case you didn't get it, a "One Chance" is a tile that has 3 of a surrounding tile in play already, which means there's only "one" way anyone has a "chance" to be waiting on it with a sequence-based wait. Similarly, a "No Chance" is the same, but where all 4 of a surrounding tile are visible to you, meaning that there is "No Chance" anyone has a sequence-based wait on that tile. It's very useful in real games when up against a Riichi, I'd suggest you commit it to memory so you can recognize when it happens. Do note, though, that One Chance and No Chance are most useful with 2, 3, 7, and 8 tiles; if you see 3 of a 4-man out, that doesn't make the 2- or 3-man much safer since they can still have a 1-man.

It was cool that Hiroyuki managed to spot Itou's tell and work it into a bluff to psyche Ichikawa out; the shoe's finally on the other foot now in terms of trickery. Hiroyuki still has a long road ahead of him, though; he's out of immediate danger with nearly 20,000 points, but Ichikawa has over 50,000 still, so he's a ways from busting Ichikawa out even still. This trick he's alluding to at the end better be something truly spectacular.

    This is the first chapter that really had that FKMT flair.
