Akagi Chapter 215 + New Credits Page

Akagi 215 now up! Thanks to Tambur for the typesetting, and this time, thanks to TA for not only cleaning but also giving us a sparkly new painting to use for the credits page art, which Tambur masterfully turned into a new credits page. Check it out!

I may or may not be streaming this Friday (probably will), I'm still getting over a cold. Mahjong Night is the same time as usual on Saturday at 22:00 GMT (3:00 PM PDT).

"One of these two is going to die... There is no way around it!"

Not a lot happens here, just the starting hands are fully drawn and we don't see anyones' hands but Akagi's. Oh yes, we're in for a long haul here fellas. Here's the credits page, tho!

Give TA some wuv by following her at

  1. Thank you so much for translating Akagi <3

  2. Since everything's go so slow that there's nothing to talk about, I'm gonna start posting how many chapters we are away from catching up. Maybe it'll motivate Sonic to keep cranking them out...or maybe it'll stress him out if he falls behind, haha. A new issue of Kindai Mahjong came out today, and as far as I can assume, it should include chapter 266 of Akagi. That means we're only 51 chapters away from catching up. Woohoo!

  3. Thanks for the chapter.
How many more weeks are you going to give anon or some random group to pick up Kaiji, Sonic?

  4. I kinda don't like that new credit page personally.
    The style isn't that good.

    1. fair enough! I liked it better as a sketch myself.

    2. After closer inspection i just realized that this is in fact not Akagi cosplaying as Link

      Now i'm dissappoint

  5. Thanks for the chapter!

Seeing Akagi's hand, I think it's pretty good for some sort of one-suit bluff, especially if he draws 7s and some honor tiles. He can deal 7m, followed by 45p, which clearly points to a souzu hand, and the 13578 + two opaque tiles formation makes almost every souzu tile dangerous.

In other words, he can make Washizu-sama cower in fear over dealing any souzu, maybe leading to a draw or a cheap dealing in by Suizuki. .
