Kazuya-Hen Chapter 18

Heave ho, here's another chapter of Kazuya-Hen, to go! OK, that didn't make any sense, but the point is that there's another chapter of Kazuya-Hen! I'm also going to take the time here to apologize ahead of time for any future delays up until around mid-May. I have all my finals coming up, and unless you guys can help me with Biology, Biology Lab, Chemistry, Psychology, Music Theory, a final paper, and several  presentations, I'm going to need some time. I also believe that the other members have finals coming up soon as well.

A round of applause for the team here at FKMTkrazy for keeping up with the work. Js06 is always consistent with his scripts, Biggums is always ahead of pack with his cleans, and Sonickrazy is always excellent with his proofreading.

Kaiji don't want none of that!

Uh oh, looks like the Asian Three are in a tight spot. For some reason, Chang doesn't seem to realize that he's the savior this round! Or maybe he does? No matter the reason, Kaiji isn't too happy about it, and he's not afraid to show it. Even Mitsuyama is confused at this point, and begins to think that he's the savior! Then we run through a hypothetical situation if Mitsuyama does indeed release his belt. Once someone presses the seatbelt release button, that's it! Only one belt can be released, so by that point, the game is pretty much determined. Only the savior this round, Chang, should press it!

So of course, Mitsuyama decides to press it.

  1. I'm surprised it ended that quickly, but also glad. i didn't want it to drag on for the whole arc or something.
    Thanks for this chapter!

  2. Well, that was unexpected...to end it so soon. But i bet in the second page of the next chapter we will see that the middle person has pressed the button one second ealier or something.

Also i can't remember, but is there a way to lose in this battle without getting your heads crushed, or just win all or death?

    1. I think if the savior presses it too early they lose all the money but don't get killed, maybe not though.

    2. Something that just occurred to me - the 1st hostage hovering his hand over his switch could be the only allowed "signal" that could be allowed in the game. If after the 30 second mark, the 3rd hostage sees none of the lights on, it must mean HE'S in play, and has to press the switch. If it's the 1st hostage, he would keep his hand over the switch for as long as possible just to be sure it's his turn. That means that if the 2nd hostage sees the 1st hostage is ready to make his move, and 1st's helmet isn't flashing, then that means 2ND'S the savior, otherwise, the 3rd hostage would've moved already. Which means that the 2nd HAS to use his turn.

At least that's how I see it.

  3. Ok, they deserve to die, 2nd guy is truly retarded. Didn't those morons discuss the situation beforehand?

  4. Surely it cannot end like this? As it is now, the only thing the test shows is that the player on the second seat is an idiot, cannot count time accurately or cannot operate under pressure. Nothing about friendship or trust.

  5. I bet the second guy figured the others would stab him in the back first and wanted out while he still could.

  6. Why on Earth didn't Chang just kick Mitsuyama's seat?
They can't talk or shout because of their helmets, but they should be able to feel it if someone kicks the damn machine.

    1. It seems that any way of communication is forbidden.

  7. These players are unfortunately just awful, or there's a chance they showed up and didn't get any chance to either think about the game or strategize at all, in which case they're screwed anyway. If given the chance to strategize for this game what I'd do first is have all the team members practice a way to count time. Second, tell them what to do in what scenario. If the guy on top is savior, he goes at the 30-35 second mark. If the guy in the middle is savior, he goes at the 40-45 second mark if he notices the guy below him isn't savior and the guy above him hasn't left by the 40 second mark. If the guy at the bottom is savior, he simply goes if neither of the above guys have gone by the 50 second mark.

    1. The setup would be better if the seats were sealed up on boxes and the lights were on top of the boxes. Then you could have a small viewing pane in the front of each box some that the players could see the lights of the seats in front of them and could also view the stage with the button. be couldn't actually see each other at all while seated. There are just too many easy ways to communicate information when (some of them) can see each other.

  8. I heard a long time ago that this part would be about Kaiji and Kazuya watching immigrants with weird helmets pushing buttons, but I never would have guessed it was so painfully literally true.

  10. You can't, I think... They are available on mangareaders such as mangafox though...

[why do I need to prove I'm not a robot, I thought that was supposed to have been fixed?]

    1. I can't imagine Hox would pass it up, so probably not. If you ask hox and he gives you a definite no, then sure.
