DKaiji Chapters 103 & 104 & 105 & 106 & 107

So, there was a little break in the releases and you can probably blame midterms for that, but in return, we have a gift for you! A QUINTUPLE RELEASE!!!!! And you guys probably thought we couldn't top a Triple Release. Granted, it was a while from out last release, but the total time from scripts to ready-to-go chapters was just two days!

And of course, we can thank the hardworking gang here at FKMTkrazy. Js06 for supplying us with FIVE scripts, Biggums for cleaning all those chapters, Kazuhiko for splitting the workload with me, and Sonickrazy for proofreading all those scripts in almost no time at all!

As an extra, there was also a release on Mahjongkrazy yesterday! It was the 7th and penultimate chapter of Death Pie!! I gotta say, that chapter was definitely the best yet with all the- well, I best not spoil it, go see it for yourself!

Think...Thiiinnnkkk...BRAIN BLAST!!!

Oh damn, Muraoka really knows what he's doing doesn't he? And I thought he would have trouble tricking Kaiji. Boy was I wrong. Turns out Muraoka still has a couple tricks up his sleeve, all of which involve cheating. Now I don't know if there's a name for the technique he just pulled (The Classic Switcheroo?) but boy was it smooth. So smooth that not even his own henchmen, standing right behind him, knew what happened! A smooth criminal indeed.

And now the ball's in Kaiji's court. Whatchu gonna do, Kaiji-boy?

It's amazing...so amazing...

In this chapter, we get to go into Maeda's head for several pages! Terrifying I know. We get to see his absolute shock and growing respect for Muraoka and his hardball (read: cheating) tactics. It's like he wants to grow up to become just like him or something! We also go back to Kaiji for a while, and he is not happy to say the least. He can't believe how dumb he is for hoping that Muraoka would play the 2-man just because he picked it up. He fell into his trap perfectly by being so distracted by the possibility of victory that he completely didn't even notice Muraoka's little switcheroo. He even considers doing the same thing as Muraoka to get past his final step!

But Muraoka's creeping eyes are watching him...

Kaiji doesn't ever get a break, does he?

There is a lot of Mahjong action going on in this chapter. So much i't hard to discuss all of it here. But at least we can get the basic gist down. Kaiji feels like he has no clues left, so he's about to leave it all to chance, but at the very last second he realizes something we've probably been screaming at the screen for. That Muraoka's 8-man discard is a clue! And from that, he pretty much deciphers Muraoka's original wait, but the problem is obviously his current one. But he can't put a finger on what the other tile is! He doesn't know what Muraoka's double wait is!

And if he picks the wrong tiles, there's a nasty surprise waiting for him.

4-SOU I SAY 4-SOU!

Ermahgerdddd. It's getting to that insane point of Kaiji again! Kaiji is of course freaking out, Muraoka's getting freaky, and the backgrounds they are so wild looking. Kaiji has finally narrowed his choices down to two choices. Too bad one of them is a death-trap! I would have just played one of 3-6-9 octave tiles, kinda like what he did last game to turn Muraoka's trick around, but what do I know. Kaiji's reasoning in the end is pretty solid after all. About as solid as a sand castle. But back to the action. Kaiji picks up a tiles, he raises his arm, the camera pans towards the ceiling...!

And all we hear is maniacal laughter...

Muraoka looks like he's about to cry me a river.

Oooooohhhhhh. Looks like Kaiji played the right tiles, yet again! This guy just loves to live on the edge, doesn't he? Apparently, there was more to his sand-castle logic than I thought. Two specific reason, one being that a 4-sou wait would give Muraoka Tanyao, and the other being that Muraoka would have more Souzu for his choices, giving him a greater possibility of having a Souzu pair. And this is when it gets even more intense. The next round. "Double or nothing!" Muraoka's pleas fall upon deaf ears. 160 million to Kazuya is just the admission for such great entertainment for him.

Now the question is...Does Kaiji have another plan cooked up this time, or is it going to be a fair match for once?

  1. I stayed on the page before the tile for like 2 minutes gathering up the courage to go to the next page. Man oh man. I can't wait to see the look on Muraoka's face when he realizes he truly has to slap down 160 million for the battle. 80 million he could have stilled survived, but 160? Now he's in the same boat as Kaiji. Complete ruination.

Kazuya was right. It's about to get bloody.

  9. Holy shit, 5 releases?

Too be honest, if i were in Kaijis shoes, at that point i would just say "fuck it" and play a tile at random, if it happened to be the wrong one, i will just try to kill one of them, so that they would have to kill me first, without torture or anything. But i guess that makes me no legendary survivor in gambling.

  11. I was going to joke that, seeing the delay from the precious, that this better be a "quintuple" release. You know, because it just couldn't happen, right?

    Holy shit guys! Thanks!

  13. This is incredible, thank you so much!! All of these chapters are totally amazing. Really interesting to see what Maeda thinks of the President (whom I was kind of proud of for pulling a fast one on Kaiji--dude is a magician).

  23. Brody gets it. You guys want to keep 1-upping yourselves, releasing more and more Kaiji at once. You're probably shooting for 7. Hot diggidy, that's great.

But Brody needs Kaiji. Brody can't wait. Brody wouldn't mind even 1 at a time if he could just get more Kaiji sooner. Whatever release style you do, it's all good, but just keep in mind: sometimes, love hurts. And, right now, Brody hurts.
