Akagi Chapter 160

And to finish off the Volume, we have for you the 160th chapter of Akagi! Will Washizu's underlings really act on their own?!

Thanks to Crump for the speedy cleans and to Kazuhiko for the speedy typesetting. I have a fair amount of Rude 39 chapter 5 done, so I think I'll finish that before moving on to Volume 19, but you're crazy if you think we're going to go back to Hero or something after this cliffhanger. Mahjong Day is Saturday at 22:00 GMT (3:00 PM PST).

Oh, and THIS is the most amazing reaction I have seen since I started this group, a big thank-you to whoever made that!

"Don't make me repeat myself...! I. Will. Draw. This. Pei!!"

This is one of those moments that you just don't know what to make of. Maybe Washizu's right, and he should go on and draw the Pei, since he will definitely draw it if he's given just one more chance. But it would seem just as likely that Akagi and Yasuoka might be able to put a stop to it through the 1-in-10,000 chance that Yoshioka presented, or some other method. Or maybe it'll be something in between, and Washizu will draw something other than the Pei and have no escape route. You just can't tell if this is a good decision or not until you see the results. And to be fair, Washizu has only just said that he'll pass on the pei; there's still time to talk it over and change his mind. I bet you can't wait for the next chapter!!

  2. What does the announcement looking page say? The one that looks like it's talking about Ten, the double page that's second to last (page 27?) or something.

A modern day Ten remake? Ten anime? Something else?

    1. Lol, wishful thinking. No, it's just an advertisement for the 18 volumes of Ten as a set.

  3. Haha, Akagi should just hurry up and draw the next tile. There's nothing Washizu could do about it, he's had enough time to win off it.

Thanks for the fast releases guys! Hope to see you on Mahjong Day/Night again ;)

  4. Does the series seem like it will be ending anytime soon in the latest volumes or is it still far from it? How often are chapters released anyway?

    1. Chapters are released once a month! And yes, it does seem like it'll be ending soon, though because of the monthly schedule soon could still be another couple years or so. And that's assuming there're no more arcs after this, since Fukumoto could always surprise us.
